The Germantown Clippers are taking a road trip to square off against the Holy Trinity P Pride at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Germantown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Germantown beat Catskill 16-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Clippers.
Emma Schmidt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off ten hits. Schmidt was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Germantown let Aubrey Race and Keira Cavanaugh run wild. Race went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Cavanaugh went 1-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most doubles Race has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Juliana Stagno, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs.
Germantown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Holy Trinity P lost 13-2 to Cobleskill-Richmondville on Monday.
Gianna Dobkowski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Jael Bernacet was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
Germantown picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-8. As for Holy Trinity P, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-12.
