Evansville Reitz has gone 8-2 against Evansville Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Bears at 5:00 p.m. Evansville Reitz will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Evansville Reitz had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Loogootee on Saturday. The Panthers blew past the Lions 10-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

In other batting news, Sadey Jones was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Emery Cook also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Evansville Reitz was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Evansville North hit Evansville Central with a nine-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears lost 18-6 to the Huskies. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Evansville Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Walls, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Kirstyn Tungate, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Evansville Reitz's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Evansville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Everything went Evansville Reitz's way against Evansville Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Evansville Reitz made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
