Bennett County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,765 from 12,177. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-7 victory over Lead-Deadwood last week.
The Warriors led Black Hills - Crazy Horse in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Golddiggers.
Custer's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chase Glazier threw for 166 yards and Clayton Wahlstrom had 97 yards receiving. On the ground Kenneth Myers chipped in 62 yards.
Zach Ulmer was a key player and the best on defense this week as Lead-Deadwood fell to Bennett County. The 6-foot-1 junior.
Myers was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 62 yards as the Wildcats fell to Belle Fourche.
Custer's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Glazier has thrown for 657 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Joel Thomsen has 8 catches for 221 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Custer takes on Little Wound. At the moment, Russ Bailey's team is in first, while the Mustangs are in fourth.
The longest pass in the league this week came courtesy of the Wildcats' Glazier. He connected with Paul Climenti on a 54-yard throw and catch as Custer lost to the Broncs.
