The Oasis Christian Lions can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past Ridgeview Global Studies Academy 41-38. The victory was just what Oasis Christian needed coming off of a 68-41 loss in their prior contest.
Oasis Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Evangelisto, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Cole Durden, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Ridgeview Global Studies Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mehiel Charles. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Charles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Williamson, who scored eight points.
Oasis Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
Oasis Christian will face off against Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Four Corners at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
