The Perquimans Pirates''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 27-18 victory over Gates County. The win was just what Perquimans needed coming off of a 42-13 defeat in their prior contest.
Perquimans' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jarmon Overton, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Knapp, who punched in a rushing scores.
Perquimans' victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Gates County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
