With a playoff game on the line, the Pisgah Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 36-29 win over the Knights. The victory was familiar territory for Pisgah who now have five in a row.
Despite the loss, Tuscaloosa Academy still got an impressive performance from Preston Lancaster, who threw for 426 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Tuscaloosa Academy, racking up 11 points in total. All those points came courtesy of Simon Mitrev: he added nine points with three field goals, and another two kicking extra points.
Pisgah's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
Pisgah is on the road again on Friday and play against Fyffe at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Fyffe will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. Tuscaloosa Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
