The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles won against the Rivers of Life Christian Eagles last Monday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Liberty Christian Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rivers of Life Christian 42-14 on the road. The team ran away with 30 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Lauren Moss continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 18 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Liberty Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Scheltens, who scored eight points along with eight steals.
Despite the defeat, Rivers of Life Christian saw an underclassman step up: Ali Thompson scored four points along with 13 rebounds and five steals. Thompson scored a full 28.6% of Rivers of Life Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory (which was Liberty Christian Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. As for Rivers of Life Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Christian Fellowship at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. Christian Fellowship is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Rivers of Life Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
