The Grant Community Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 45-33 to Lakes, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If Grant Community hoped to take revenge for the 45-33 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Lakes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Inclarity Turney, who scored 11 points along with four steals and three blocks. Turney hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Madison Twarling, who scored 16 points.
Grant Community's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Wauconda the next time they take the court. Lakes will head out to face Wauconda at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Grant Community will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
