The Davies Career & Tech Patriots put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Hope onto the board and left with a 24-0 win. Considering Davies Career & Tech has won three matchups by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Daniel Rose was his usual excellent self, rushing for 170 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Rose's longest rush was for an incredible 94 yards.
Davies Career & Tech's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-5 Hope and 3-5 Providence Country Day/Wheeler/Sanchez Complex (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.5% over those games). As for Hope, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davies Career & Tech will face off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Smithfield is ranked 42nd, while Davies Career & Tech is ranked 32nd). As for Hope, they will head out on the road to face off against North Providence at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
