After flying high against De Leon last Friday, Ballinger came back down to earth. The Bearcats fell just short of the Bangs Dragons by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Ballinger's loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Bangs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Ballinger and Bangs will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Bearcats see the field they'll take on Coleman at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Bangs, their break will end when they face Cisco at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
