After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Cardinal Newman, Rancho Cotate was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They came out on top against the Napa Grizzlies by a score of  6-1. That five run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.
 Madisyn Guinn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Hayden Munson and  Izabella Harumi did most of the damage at the plate:  Munson  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and two  RBI, while  Harumi  scored a  run while going 1-for-1. Those  two  RBI gave  Munson a new career-high.  Jessica Wilmes was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Rancho Cotate was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .381. They are 2-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Rancho Cotate's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Napa,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-9.
