The Highlands Scots lost against the Rio Vista Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Highlands was the victim of a tough 70-45 defeat at the hands of the Rams. Highlands has struggled against the Rams recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ashlynd Rhett was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for Rio Vista. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rhett has scored at least a third of Rio Vista's points. Another player making a difference was Matt Bodle, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Rio Vista, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. San Juan comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
