Baseball Recap: Tucson High Magnet School Has No Trouble Against Marana

Tucson High Magnet School won the last time they faced Marana and things went their way on Thursday too. The Badgers were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.

Luis Camacho looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jordan Lesley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Uziel Castillo was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Tucson High Magnet School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marana only posted an OBP of .276.

Tucson High Magnet School now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Marana, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tucson High Magnet School will welcome Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marana, they will be playing at home against Mountain View at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Mountain Lions at the right time seeing as the Mountain Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
