After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln Christian, the Catoosa Indians were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Claremore by a score of 34-25. This was payback for Catoosa, who suffered a 53-39 loss the last time these two teams met.
Catoosa was led to victory by Jacquelyn Cornwell and Tinsley Mitchell. Cornwell scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, while Mitchell scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mitchell has scored at least 25% of Catoosa's points.
Catoosa now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Claremore, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Catoosa's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pauls Valley at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for Claremore, they will square off against East Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
