Will Rogers College entered their tilt with McAlester on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 win over the McAlester Buffaloes. While the Ropers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Will Rogers College got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jay Oates III out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Crosslen, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Will Rogers College pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for McAlester, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Will Rogers College will challenge Memorial at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season. As for McAlester, they will face off against Durant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
