Roosevelt has struggled against Jackson-Reed recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Jackson-Reed's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kryslynn Stewart, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Stewart hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Aminyah Muhammed was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Jackson-Reed, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Roosevelt will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Friendship Tech Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Jackson-Reed, they will square off against SEED DC at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
