The Denver Jewish Day Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lyons Lions at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Denver Jewish Day's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lyons has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Denver Jewish Day can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 60-34 margin over Prairie. The victory was just what Denver Jewish Day needed coming off of a 59-39 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver Jewish Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Solly Bielsky, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Keenan Winnerman, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lyons suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Heritage Christian 77-37. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lyons in their matchups with Heritage Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Denver Jewish Day's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lyons, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Denver Jewish Day strolled past Lyons when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 61-42. Does Denver Jewish Day have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lyons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
