Bolles suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Bishop Kenny by a score of 61-58. Bolles has not had much luck with Bishop Kenny recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Bolles' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaden Ferguson, who scored 24 points along with seven assists and six steals, and CJ Ennis who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ferguson has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Nease didn't have too much trouble with Beachside on the road on Tuesday as they won 65-50. Given Nease's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Beachside is ranked 433rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bolles' loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Nease, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-9.
Things could have been worse for Bolles, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-40 loss to Nease in their previous matchup back in January of 2022.
