SAN JOSE, Calif. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Los Altos (Calif.) held on for a 17-10 victory over
Overfelt (San Jose, Calif.) on Saturday. The difference for the Eagles was that
Sean Lanoza ran for a touchdown.
The Royals pulled ahead on a field goal by
Christian Mena, and subsequently went into halftime leading 10-7. The Eagles took the lead to win the game on a touchdown run by Lanoza in the fourth quarter.
But eight points in the fourth helped Los Altos pull out the victory.
Overfelt's lone touchdown came on a 21-yard run by
Jaleel Jefferson in the first quarter.
Overfelt (0-2) goes up against Cupertino in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Los Altos (2-0) locks horns with Mountain View also in a non-conference game.
