Despite the loss, Abington Heights got top-tier performance from Gavin Anders, who picked up 237 receiving yards. With that strong performance, Anders is now averaging an impressive 112 receiving yards per game.
Meanwhile, Delaware Valley didn't have too much trouble with Wallenpaupack Area on Friday as they won 35-21. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Buckhorns recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Delaware Valley's win came from a few key players Abington Heights will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colin McGarvey, who threw for 167 yards and two TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards. Delaware Valley also got a significant boost from Michael Iuzzolino, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.
Delaware Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Having lost for the first time this season, Abington Heights fell to 4-1. As for Delaware Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
