Hubbard has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will take on the Poland Seminary Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Poland Seminary took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hubbard, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Hubbard didn't have too much trouble with Mineral Ridge at home as they won 71-54.
Hubbard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Rybicki, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyen Franklin, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Poland Seminary was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 44-39 to Boardman. While losing is never fun, Poland Seminary can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Boardman is ranked 29th).
Hubbard's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Poland Seminary, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Things could have been worse for Hubbard, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-41 loss to Poland Seminary in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for Hubbard, Jp Genova (who scored 27 points along with six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
