The South Charlotte Thunder are taking a road trip to square off against the Charlotte Christian Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Charlotte will be strutting in after a win while Charlotte Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
South Charlotte took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They managed a 44-38 victory over Providence Athletic Club.

South Charlotte's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caroline Gidney, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Gidney has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Aitchison, who scored 16 points and six boards.
South Charlotte was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Christian played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Cary Academy, falling 51-31. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.
South Charlotte will have to keep a close watch on Stella Spang and Piper Fair, a pair of players who had a big impact on Charlotte Christian's prior game. Spang went 5-for-6 en route to 14 points, while Fair had six points.
South Charlotte has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Charlotte Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Charlotte has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Charlotte Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 22 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
South Charlotte beat Charlotte Christian 37-26 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
