Softball Recap: Union Pines Snags 11th Victory in Last 14 Games

While Union Pines put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Silver Creek/Forestville Central. The Vikings blew past the Black Knights 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Allie Bauer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Serena McCutchen was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Elizabeth Andrews was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Union Pines is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Union Pines didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Wayne on the 16th. Silver Creek/Forestville Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
