The Edison Golden Bears will stay at home for another game and welcome the Jefferson Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. After the pair made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Edison scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Brackenridge as Edison made off with a 7-1 win. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Edison with their most commanding win of the season.
Meanwhile, Jefferson put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Sam Houston a 12-0 shutout. STEPHEN MIRELES was a massive factor in the win, as he booted in four goals all by himself.
Edison has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Jefferson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-3.
Edison was able to grind out a solid win over Jefferson in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, winning 3-1. Will Edison repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
