The Austin-East Roadrunners were the 45-39 winner over the Pigeon Forge Tigers when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Austin-East fell just short of Pigeon Forge by a score of 53-51.
Despite the loss, Austin-East still got an impressive performance from Tymirrianna Brown, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'onna Witt, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Austin-East's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Pigeon Forge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
