The home team had won the previous three meetings between University School of Nashville and St. Cecilia Academy, and St. Cecilia Academy kept the tradition alive. The Tigers fell 13-9 to the Scarabs on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Scarabs: they've now lost six in a row.

Alena Ellis was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lynden Anckner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

University School of Nashville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for St. Cecilia Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

University School of Nashville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Cecilia Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on East Nashville Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
