After two games on the road, Beaumont is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Oak Hills Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Beaumont didn't have too much trouble with Indian Springs on the road as they won 52-37. Given Beaumont's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Indian Springs is ranked 736th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beaumont had a senior duo take command as Josiah Morgan scored 11 points along with five steals and Vince tracy Capuras scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Capuras has scored at least 25% of Beaumont's points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Farias, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Oak Hills entered their tilt with Palm Desert with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Oak Hills blew past Palm Desert 67-45. The result was nothing new for Oak Hills, who have now won three matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Beaumont's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Oak Hills, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Beaumont won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2016, slipping by Oak Hills 66-65. Does Beaumont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
