While North Monterey County couldn't quite beat St. Francis on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 25-point defeat they were dealt on Tuesday. North Monterey County fell just short of St. Francis by a score of 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat North Monterey County has suffered yet this season.
Seaside's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11. As for North Monterey County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
