Make it seven blowout wins for New Town this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Western Tech & Environmental Science 64-36 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory New Town has posted against Western Tech & Environmental Science since February 15, 2017.
New Town got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nialah Mingo out in front who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasia Hart, who scored 16 points.
The win makes it two in a row for New Town and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Town will take on Sparrows Point at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sparrows Point will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Chesapeake at 5:15 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Chesapeake is ranked 155th, while Western Tech & Environmental Science is ranked 142nd).
