Blair is a perfect 3-0 against Omaha North since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bears will challenge the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Blair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Blair lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Beatrice, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Bears never let the Orangemen get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.
Owen Mann tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Blair got a massive performance out of Brevin Leggott, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Leggott a new career-high. Colton Scheer also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Blair kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Omaha North posted their closest win since May 1, 2025 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Lincoln High. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Colin Kinman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Chance Kinman, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Blair's record is now 8-4. As for Omaha North, their record now sits at 5-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Blair has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Omaha North struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Blair got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Omaha North by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
