The Pahrump Valley Trojans's road trip will continue as they head out to face The Meadows School Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Pahrump Valley's defense has only allowed 24.1 points per game this season, so The Meadows School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
In what's become a running theme this season, Pahrump Valley gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They really took it to Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-10 win on the road. Given Pahrump Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon is ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Heaven Cooper was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailani Martinez, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, The Meadows School's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on the road and fell 51-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss The Meadows School has suffered since November 29, 2023.
Pahrump Valley pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.73 points. As for The Meadows School, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
