Clovis East won against Sanger last Friday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Timberwolves never let the Clovis North Broncos get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Timberwolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Clovis East got a great performance from Chloe Solis as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Solis has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Eliana Massicci was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Clovis East hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clovis North struck out nine times.
Clovis East's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Clovis North, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3-1.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clovis East will take on rival Clovis West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
