Andover extended the longest winning streak in Merrimack Valley - Large this week by beating Tewksbury Memorial, 51-42. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Lowell took down Lawrence 42-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cam Latta threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 42 yards in the win.
Andover's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. C J Scarpa threw for 325 and three touchdowns and Andrew Deloury had 144 yards receiving. On the ground Jack Sylvester chipped in 168 yards. Will Heikkinen helped Andover's passing attack out by catching six balls for 100 yards.
Andover's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Scarpa has thrown for 1326 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Heikkinen has 31 catches for 470 yards. Sylvester leads the league in rushing with 340 yards.
The Red Raiders made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,451 from 1,849. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-21 victory over the Lancers last week.
