Washington hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Kennedy will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Washington extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Huskies put the hurt on American with a sharp 15-2 win. Considering the Huskies have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ynez Lopez and Molly Racklin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lopez pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Racklin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lopez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Lopez went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Racklin got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That triple was Lopez's first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elena Fotopoulos, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elaina Martinez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.
Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, while it was Kennedy who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was James Logan who put up more. The Titans took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts.
Vanessa Rodriguez and Tatyana Corrales stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Corrales went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Lonero, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Washington's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Kennedy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Washington hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. It's a different story for Kennedy, though, as they've only averaged .210. Will they be able to contain Washington's hitters?
Washington might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from Kennedy in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
