Butler has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Sidney Yellowjackets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Butler is ranked 327th, while Sidney is ranked 342nd).
Last Friday, Butler slipped by Xenia 42-41. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Butler has scored all year.
Meanwhile, everything went Sidney's way against Piqua on Friday as Sidney made off with a 60-37 victory.
Butler's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Sidney, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.
Butler came up short against Sidney in their previous meeting back in February, falling 54-47. Can Butler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
