Rector has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the East Poinsett County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Rector is ranked 128th, while East Poinsett County is ranked 115th).
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rector beat Earle 57-52. The win was just what Rector needed coming off of a 74-48 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for East Poinsett County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Germantown on Saturday.
Despite the loss, East Poinsett County saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Gaines scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Tyrus Reel, who scored nine points.
Rector's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for East Poinsett County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
Rector beat East Poinsett County 83-73 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will Rector repeat their success, or does East Poinsett County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
