The Episcopal Maroon were the 63-44 winner over the St. Christopher's Saints when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Episcopal falling 60-41. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bryson Carter and Malcolm Stute certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Carter scored 15 points, while Stute scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Stute scored a full 29.3% of Episcopal's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jayden Betz was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Episcopal now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Christopher's, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Episcopal is on the road again on Saturday and play against The Carmel School at 11:00 a.m. on December 2nd. The Carmel School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Episcopal is ranked 37th). As for St. Christopher's, they will square off against Trinity Episcopal at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
