 In other batting news,  Kali Weaver was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while going 2-for-3.  Desiree Green was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Ashbrook's offense. They fell victim to a  tough 12-0 defeat at the hands of North Gaston  on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, Ashbrook's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Kings Mountain pushed their record up to 14-0 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  on the road. As for Ashbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Everything went Kings Mountain's way against Ashbrook in their previous meeting  back in March as Kings Mountain made off with  a  15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kings Mountain since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
