The South Kitsap Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Emerald Ridge Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Kitsap focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, South Kitsap beat Kennedy Catholic 39-33. The victory was just what South Kitsap needed coming off of a 48-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
South Kitsap got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamdyn Hagerty out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Degarimore, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and six blocks.
Meanwhile, Emerald Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak last Thursday. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellarmine Prep.
South Kitsap's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14. As for Emerald Ridge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.
South Kitsap suffered a grim 51-29 defeat to Emerald Ridge in their previous meeting back in January. Can South Kitsap avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
