TMI-Episcopal saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Chambers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Chambers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Antonian Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over Incarnate Word on Tuesday.
Bella Vasquez was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Isabella Garza, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Antonian Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Antonian Prep's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for TMI-Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. TMI-Episcopal hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .427. However, it's not like Antonian Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .372. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
