After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley Christian Academy, Orcutt Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They managed a 54-48 victory over the Cate Rams. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Orcutt Academy found their leader in sophomore Ezekiel Johnson, who rushed for 434 yards and six TDs while picking up 14.5 yards per carry. Those six rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Johnson. Fadi Alkhouri helped out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Orcutt Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 527 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
