Eastern's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on John Hardin with a sharp 15-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.
Kelsey Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryleigh Sweasy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Edie Kretzer was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Eastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as John Hardin only managed one.
Meanwhile, Ballard came up short against Highlands on Friday and fell 4-1.
Ballard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Hunt, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Ballard, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastern hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .402. However, it's not like Ballard struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
