San Marin is 9-1 against Terra Linda since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will host the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
San Marin barely beat Archie Williams the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Peregrine Falcons with a sharp 15-6 victory on Monday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Peregrine Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Emery Ellinthorpe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits.
At the plate, San Marin got a massive performance out of Arianna Mendoze, who went 4-for-6 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Alina Rempe was another key player, going 3-for-5 with five runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
San Marin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Terra Linda scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against San Rafael, falling 30-23. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (21), the Trojans still had to take the loss.
Lacey Graham made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with five runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Stewart, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Terra Linda's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for San Marin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. San Marin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Terra Linda struggles in that department as they've averaged .372. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
San Marin got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Terra Linda by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
