After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Vestal, Binghamton was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They were the clear victors by  an  11-5 margin over the Sidney Team. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
 Justin Spencer was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run over six innings pitched. Spencer was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with one  stolen base and two  RBI. That  stolen base was  his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Yandel Bare was  excellent,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Brady McManus, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
Binghamton's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Sidney, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Binghamton will head out to  square off against Union-Endicott  at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday. As for Sidney, they will venture away from home to  take on Dryden  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
