Iowa Colony is 0-3 against Randle since September of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Pioneers will face off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Iowa Colony is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Brenham 31-30. The victory was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Iowa Colony can attribute much of their success to Aaron Tenner, who rushed for 223 yards and one score while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and Carson White, who rushed for 118 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, Tenner is now averaging an impressive 106.2 rushing yards per game. Jayden Warren was in the mix too, providing Iowa Colony with two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Iowa Colony was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randle). They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging an 83-20 win over Bastrop. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Bears are ranked 134th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Randle's win came from a few key players Iowa Colony will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Skrabanek, who threw for 237 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Ashton Johnson, who picked up 74 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
One reason for the win was Randle's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Jael Benard and Jalyn Burton, who each picked up two sacks apiece.
Iowa Colony's record now sits at 12-1. As for Randle, their record is now 13-0.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: White and Skrabanek. White just won't slow down this season and has thrown 31 touchdowns (and and only 5 picks) while averaging 165.8 passing yards per game. Skrabanek has been a dominant force too and has thrown 28 touchdowns while averaging 210.7 passing yards per game.
Iowa Colony couldn't quite get it done against Randle when the teams last played back in September as they fell 49-42. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
