Adams Central is 8-2 against Woodlan since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jets will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Adams Central has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Adams Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over Monroe Central on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won three in a row.
Joey Everett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Everett was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Woodlan gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Lakeland 9-8. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.
Like Adams Central, Woodlan also got a great game from a two-way player: Evan Koch. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Koch was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Woodlan: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Woodlan got a massive performance out of Liam Hertig, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Ashtin Jacquay, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Adams Central's record now sits at 3-7-1. As for Woodlan, their record is now 6-4.
