Despite the loss, Platte Valley still got an impressive performance from Bryla Bunting, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Bunting has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Berkley Nighswonger was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine boards for Yuma. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Black, who posted six points and three steals.
Platte Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Yuma, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Platte Valley will head out to square off against Sterling on Wednesday. As for Yuma, they will be playing at home against Resurrection Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
