This season hasn't been kind to the Michigan School for the Deaf Tartars, who are still winless after their 11th game. They lost to CenterPoint Christian Academy at home by a decisive 63-48 margin on Tuesday. Michigan School for the Deaf has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Jeremy Boillat was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 38 points and 20 rebounds for CenterPoint Christian Academy. Boillat has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Turvey, who scored eight points.
Michigan School for the Deaf's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.2 points per game. As for CenterPoint Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Michigan School for the Deaf will take on the at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. CenterPoint Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
