The Clayton Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 51-18 loss at the hands of Talihina. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clayton has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clayton struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Talihina racked up 13 assists.
Talihina was led to victory by Grayson Crouch and Kaidon Potts. Crouch almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, while Potts scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Crouch pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Griffith, who scored three points along with three steals.
Clayton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Talihina, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clayton will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Yellow Jackets at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Talihina, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Miners at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hartshorne is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
