The Stringer Red Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mississippi School for the Deaf 50-21 at home. The win was some much needed relief for Stringer as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Mississippi School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being DeSiare Ingram, who scored seven points. Ingram scored a full 33.3% of Mississippi School for the Deaf's points, the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aimaya Brand, who scored six points.
Stringer's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stringer will be home for the holidays to greet Mount Olive at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Olive is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. West Lincoln presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mississippi School for the Deaf in Mississippi (West Lincoln is ranked 174th, while Mississippi School for the Deaf is ranked 447th).
